HI-I have a Linksys router at home in order to have wireless for my laptop. I need to make it secure with a password so the whole world can’t use it or someone can’t intercept it. Where do I go o to set the router so that the wifi signal is password protected. This is a great site by the way!

It is best to make any changes to your wireless router with an ethernet cable connection as you may make changes to the wireless element of the router that will disconnect you from the router. For a Linksys router, start your web browser (Internet Explorer, etc). Once your web browser is open, go to the URL http://192.168.1.1 This will take you to a popup box which asks you to enter a username and password. The username is either blank or "admin" and the default password is "admin" (do not use the quotes). When you get to the main setup screen you must click on wireless settings. It is recommend that you set a unique SSID to identify the router as your own. You will see that the default is set to "linksys". Don't forget to write down the SSID so you won't forget what it is. Click "Save Settings" at the bottom of the screen after every change. On the wireless tab, click wireless security and choose one of the options for the encryption standard. It is recommended to use and configure WPA encryption. This is based off a word you enter and it is best to have at least 8 characters. Again, don't forget to write down the word. Save the changes by clicking save. Now try to connect wirelessly to the SSID that you configured with your laptop. Your laptop will prompt you for a password. Input the password that you wrote down in the last step. If you typed everything correctly, you should now be connected to the router.

Hi, Emails from a Canadian online pharmacy are passing through to my inbox. The sender is somehow my email address above! I receive at least 10 emails a day, each with different listed sender and each with a unique subject line. How do I stop this when I can't block myself as a sender???
14:55
Kim- The best way to deal with Spam when it is formatted to show that it came from you is to contact us @ WebPerception as you did. We will then work on the problem until a satisfactory conclusion is reached. Thank you for your patience while we resolved this ugly spam problem. WebPerception

I don't understand this email from MAIL ADMINISTRATOR : "This Message was undeliverable due to the following reason: Your message was not delivered because the destination computer refused to accept it (the error message is reproduced below). This type of error is usually due to a mis-configured account or mail delivery system on the destination computer; however, it could be caused by your message since some mail systems refuse messages with invalid header information, or if they are too large. Your message was rejected by marincounty.net for the following reason: 5.7.1 Message cannot be accepted, rules rejection The following recipients did not receive this message:" <cathey@footprince.com>"

I know the messages are rather convoluted. Basically this says there is a "rule" blocking this email from being delivered. I'll check your rules later this morning and email you back? Peter.
